Trekkies at Ren Fest Experiment

Abstract

People like to dress up and pretend they are something they are not. It's a hallmark of geek culture. What we want to find out is if fantasy play is universal, or if they are indeed separated. We will take two cultures based on fantasy play - Trekkies and Ren Festers, force them to meet, and record the results. To do this, Hartnell and Chromium will don the attire of Klingons, complete with weapons, and go to the local Ren Fest. There can be no impartial measurements of the results on this one, you will just have to take our word for it. This is scheduled for next year's local Ren Fest which takes place next spring.
