autonomic nervous system
The autonomic nervous system or ANS is a division of the peripheral nervous system. It connects the central nervous system with internal organs.
The autonomic nervous system is divided into two separate, antagonistic systems : the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system, which have an antagonistic relationship.
